Abstract
Italy has been working towards implementing the different energy efficiency and security instruments in all sectors including households. The residential sector represented around 20% of the final consumption of energy as per 2016. Accordingly, this study provides an analysis of the penetration of different energy resources in households demand in the municipality of Milan based on 2011 ISTAT census data as base-year and the following years of 2016,2021,2026 and 2031. The study took into account “the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan” targets. This presentation summarizes the project developed as part of the ICTP Joint Summer School for Sustainable Development 2023. This presentation was made to all participants of the schools with a Q and A session.
